Troubleshooting A Furrion RV Electric Fireplace That Keeps Tripping The Breaker

Question:

We have a 2019 Avalanche 5th wheel R.V. 300RE Our Fireplace worked great for about 12 hours and then blew the MAIN BREAKER in the trailer. We waited to the next day and tried it again and it did the same thing again?

There are a couple of reasons that the Furrion RV Electric Fireplace with Logs - 30" Wide - Recessed Mount - Black # F30SW15ABL could cause the breaker to trip. You could have a bad ground, shorted circuit, or overloaded circuit. You'll want to pull the fireplace and check the wires running from the outlet to the breaker panel. You could have a lose connection, the hot wire could be touching the ground wire, the hot and neutral wire could be touching, or there could be too much of a pull causing the circuit to overload and shut off. A loose connection on a circuit breaker can cause a heat built up and trip the breaker. If you feel the breaker and it's unusually warm then you know this is your problem.

I recommend having a licensed electrician check your wiring to ensure there are no faults or loose connections and then also check your panel to ensure it was properly wired and that you don't have appliances overloading the circuits.
