The Thule Gateway 3 Bike Carrier, part # TH78VR, is designed to accommodate rear spoilers on many vehicles but it will not work on your 2012 Nissan Rogue. The rear spoiler design on your Rogue limits your options for bike carriers to either hitch-mount or roof-mount types.
If your Rogue has a trailer hitch installed you have a wide range of options for hitch-mount carriers of both the hanging and platform variety. The hitch receivers we offer for your Rogue come in both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch sizes. We do offer hitch-mount carriers that will work with both sizes. I have provided a link to our department page where you can review and narrow the product results using the filters at the left hand side of the page. I have also linked an article concerning hitch-mount bike racks that might be useful to you.
If you do not have a hitch and wish to go this route you can use the link provided to see the options we offer. Both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitch receivers are offered for your Rogue. All available hitches install without drilling or welding and include required hardware. Typically the 2-inch hitch will have a higher capacity and there will be more available accessory items to fit this size.
Your other option is to use a roof-rack bike carrier. I have provided a link to our page for roof racks suitable for your Rogue. At the top of the page you can select the type of roof you have to see compatible roof racks.
Yakima offers a wheel-mount Front Loader # Y02103 (please see linked video) compatible with their Q Tower system.
