Winch With Longer Strap for Vehicle with Snowplow
Question:
Hello I am interested in using the snowplow winch to open an close a hatch door. I see it comes with a 30” strap. I will require a 72” strap for my application. Will the spool allow for the additional 42” of material? If not, do you offer another 12v product of similar size with the Dynamic braking system that would accommodate the 72” length? Mounting space is very limited so it can not be very much bigger than the BDW78FR.The hatch door weighs 60 pounds. Thanks for your help

The drum for the Bulldog Winch Snowplow Winch # BDW78FR won't allow for a longer strap but you could possibly use the Bulldog Winch Powersports Series ATV Winch # BDW15010 instead. It has the dynamic brake, measures 11-3/16" long x 4-5/16" wide x 4-1/8" tall, and comes with a 40' long rope that would work for closing the hatch door as well as many other applications.
