For your 2012 Chevrolet Colorado the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31221 is confirmed to fit. This receiver is rated for 500lbs of tongue weight and a 5,000lb trailer. If you are using with a winch it is a 9,000lb line pull capacity. Be sure to not exceed any weight capacities given by Chevrolet for your Colorado.

If you are wanting to use this with a snow plow I recommend the Detail K2 Elite Snowplow for 2" Hitches # K2AVAL8219ELT as it uses an electric actuator rather than a winch that tends to have issues with ice collecting in the cable.
