Is the Yakima SlimShady Compatible with Oversized Crossbars on a 2004 Nissan Frontier
Question:
Hi - wondering if the clamp assembly is compatible with the old oversize Nissan roof rack bars e.g. 04 Frontier clamp would need to open to accommodate ~3.5inch bar width. Thanks!

The clamps on the Yakima SlimShady Awning # Y96VR need at least a minimum crossbar spread of 27". The clamps are designed to work with crossbars that are up to 1-1/2" tall. As long as you can get the proper spread and the oversized bars on your 2004 Nissan Frontier are not larger that 1-1/2" tall then the SlimShady will work.
