Bearing Replacements for Karavan Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
Hello my trailer had older surge drum brakes with 5 lug wheels and square axles for 20 foot boat. Was there more than one bearing that fit these axles. I believe they are 1 inch hole in bearing

Yes, trailer wheel bearings are specific to the spindle that is installed on the axle that is on your trailer. There are varying sizes of bearings and I have linked a faq sheet to help you identify the correct ones. You're going to want to pull your hub off and take a look at the bearings you currently have. They should have numbers stamped onto the side. If they don't you will need to get some measurements to determine which size bearings are the right one for your axle. I have attached a picture that will show you exactly what you will need to find. The spindle measurements need to be precise, so a set of digital calipers like item # PTW80157 will need to be used.
