Question:
I have a 2008 Grand Cherokee with a factory receiver hitch and the factory tow package. There is a wire connected for the trailer brakes in the factory trailer wire connector below the rear bumper. where would I find the factory wire below the dash board to connect the blue wire from the controller ? thanks

The wire that you are looking for is located behind or above the driver side kick panel. It is normally a light green wire. You may need to use installation kit # 5505 which has a 20 amp breaker or kit # 5506 which has a 30 amp breaker to complete installation of the brake controller power wire (black). Use # 5506 for up to 8 brakes.
I have linked a video that should help some. It is a different year vehicle and different brake controller but installation will still be very similar.
