Custom Wiring Adapter For a Curt Brake Controller on a 2022 Ford Explorer w/ Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2022 Ford Explorer with the tow package that has the 7-way connector. I want to use the Curt Spectrum controller. Is there something that I can use to just plug in some wires since I have the tow package.

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter # C51322 is going to plug into the port on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness and then plug into the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 providing for a plug and play install with no splicing of wires. For most applications, the built-in brake control harness is located beneath the dash, near the center console.
