Question:
I need to know what all I need to add a 7-way connector onto my 2022 Ford Explorer so that I can pull my camper. The have already located the receiver hitch that I am going to install but I will need all the wiring as my Explorer did not have any factory towing equipment.

First you will need a Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118599 to connect to your tail lights in your 2022 Ford Explorer. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that will control the tail lights and running lights on your camper.
The 4-way connector will then plug into the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 which will provide you with the additional components you need to connect the charge line and brake controller wiring portions of the 7-way. The Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000 can be used to attach your 7-way connector to your receiver and will not involve drilling into any of your bodywork.
For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. This controller includes the universal wiring pigtail needed for connecting the brake controller on your Explorer.
