Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Without Tow Package

We have a new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee without the factory tow package. What wiring can we use to tow our trailer and have the brakes work?

If you do not already have the 4-pole flat connector in place, I suggest the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # 118727. You can easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Jeep Grand Cherokee with this T-One connector as it plugs directly into existing wiring without needing any splicing or cutting of wires.
To upgrade from a 4-pole flat, you will need the 7-way RV connection for use of a brake controller. I suggest the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller, # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to convert a properly functioning 4-way to a 7-way and be able to install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
If you do not yet have a hitch installed, I suggest the the Draw Tite, # 75699. This has a concealed crosstube which makes it less visible and comes with a trailer wiring bracket welded to the crosstube for easy storage of trailer wiring.
