How Do I Attach My 5th Wheel To A Gooseneck Hitch Ball On My 2002 Chevy Silverado With A Flatbed

Question:

We have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD pick up. There is a standard flatbed in place of the standard bed. We are being told that our new RV may not work with our set up do to the square ends of the flatbed possibly hitting the RV. Can you give us any advice? Also, What kind of fifth wheel hitch would we need?

You are correct. This can be an issue since flat beds are typically longer than a pickup truck bed. Since you already have a gooseneck hitch ball my recommendation is the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset - 12" to 16" Tall, part # CAB-C5GX1216. This model provides 7-1/2" of additional clearance if it is needed, which is perfect for many flat beds. This option attaches to your 5th wheel trailer's kingpin, eliminating the need for a 5th wheel hitch.

I have included a product description link and a video demo link below.
