Question:
I need a 3500 pound axle and am ordering your 14 inch wheels and tires that have a 9 inch section width, how do I calculate axle length?

So there isn't a way to calculate a proper length for a 3,500 lb axle; in order to get the proper replacement axle you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center.
For example the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindle # 7359765 measures 95 inches from hub face to hub face and 80 inches from spring center to spring center, and the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles # T3584F-EZ-8974 measures 89 inches from hub face to hub face and 74 inches from spring center to spring center
As those are the only two lengths we offer, there is another option, the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System, which are simply bolted or welded so you do not have to worry about finding an axle that meets any specific measurements such as the 3,500 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR3500S05.
I have added a link below to our entire selection of 3,500 lb axles and axle-less systems.
