Do Eyelets Need to Be Cut Off to Install Hitch on 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
I want to install this on my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 but I keep seeing I have to cut off the eyelets, is that correct?

The Draw Tite hitch part # DT42RR that fits your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 requires you to bend the safety chain loops out for hitch pin clearance. This is a standard part of this install and doesn't require any cutting actually.
Easiest way to do this is grab a larger crescent wrench and adjust it down to fit snugly to the loop and then bend it outwards like what you see in the attached picture.
