I will be happy to set you up with everything you will need to tow a trailer with your 2002 Toyota Sequoia. First, you will need a trailer hitch. I have included a link to the trailer hitches that we offer for your vehicle. The most popular option is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75126.

This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver. The 2 inch receiver has the widest range of accessory options. It also has a tongue weight capacity of 500 pounds and a gross trailer weight capacity of 5,000 pounds. Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual to determine the towing capacities of the vehicle.

This hitch can also be used with weight distribution which basically distributes the tongue weight of the trailer more evenly across all axles of both the tow vehicle and trailer. With a pop-up camper, you probably will not need weight distribution but should you tow something heavier later, it is something to think about.

Next you will need some towing accessories. I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. And if the Sequoia does not already have some sort of trailer wiring harness to plug the trailer into then you can use # C55246.

The pop-up camper may or may not have a 4-Way flat like on the harness listed above. But, not to worry, there are many different adapters available. I would just need to know what type of connector the trailer has. I have included a link to our adapter main page.

I have also included some links to FAQ articles that cover the items needed to tow and tips on towing for you.
