Trailer Wiring Options for 2018 Audi Q5
Question:
I purchased a curt hitch for my 2018 Q5 Audi, it fit perfectly and i am very happy with it. Now i want to install a wire harness for lighting on my trailer. I ordered wiring harness #55376 thinking that the connections might work with the connections in the back left fuse cavity. No luck as the two connectors on the harness do not mate with the connectors supplied with the SUV. I do not like the option of the light kit hanging out of the rear tail gate. Do you have any suggestions?

For your 2018 Audi Q5 we have trailer wiring options that we have test fit on your vehicle and found that they worked well but they are all universal style harnesses that would require splicing like the # C59236 which I attached an install video for. The only other option that is similar that you might be interested in is the ZCI kit part # 119250KIT which instead of splices uses sensors that attach to the wires without requiring any cutting or splicing. I attached an install video for this as well.
I know you said you didn't want a kit that had the 4-way stored outside of the vehicle but this is the only option for your vehicle and the upside to this setup is that it gets the connector out of the elements which will prevent corrosion.
