Bike Rack for Travel Trailer to Clear Rear Spare

Question:

I have a Thule Range 2inch bike rack for use with a travel trailer. The Thule specs state that the max distance from the hole to the outside of the spare tire is 5.9inch and I need at least 8. Our trailer hitch weight limit is 150 lbsreducing the capacity to 75 lbs without taking into account the weight of hitch. I only plan to carry 2 bikes. Will the Curt Hitch extender work? Would it be rattle free? Does it include a hitch lock? thanks,

I have a great bike rack solution for your travel trailer that will clear your rear spare but we do not recommend using a hitch extender with bike racks at the rear of travel trailers due to the very harsh ride quality at the rear of them.

Instead we have the Swagman Trailhead part # S63381 which has 9-1/2 inches of clearance between the pin hole and the back of the racks upright mast which will easily clear your spare since you need at least 8 inches.
