Best SumoSprings For 2013 Ford F-150 For Towing Travel Trailer
Question:
Sumosprings. Hello, I have a 2013 f150 fx4. I just purchased a travel trailer that’s under 6k lbs fully loaded . I do not use a weight distribution or sway control as it rides nicely but does have squat with trailer attached. Tongue weight is approx 500 lbs. I only tow the trailer about 1-2 x per month during the season. Would you recommend the yellow, blue or black ? Thank you

For your 2013 Ford F-150, the SumoSprings that are the best option for you while you are towing are the 1,000 lb capacity springs:
- SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-117-40
These are the blue springs (I verified with SumoSprings there aren't any yellow springs for your truck), and their 1,000 lb compression rating is going to be perfect for your needs. The heavier, 1,500 SumoSprings # SSR-117-47 aren't necessary for occasional towing and would be better suited for a work truck or something of the like. They would be stiffer than you want so the 1,000 lb-rated # SSR-117-40 are going to be perfect for your needs.
They will help level out your F-150, absorbing the added weight at the back of your truck, which in turn is going to improve its overall handling and braking.
