Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch With Sway Control For Towing a 2021 Keystone Springdale 260BH
Question:
I have recently purchased a 2021 keystone Springdale 260bh travel trailer and would like to purchase a weight distribution hitch for it. My truck is a 2018 Chevy Colorado z71. I believe the max towing capacity is approximately 7000lbs and dry weight with the camper is 5200lbs . Thanks for your help

I recommend using the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66084 for towing your 2021 Keystone Springdale 260BH. This hitch is rated for tongue weights of 600-1,200lbs, your Springdale comes from the factory at 510lbs dry. Once propane a battery and your gear are added your tongue weight will likely become 800lbs. The maximum weight capacity of 12,000lbs is well below the the GVWR of 7,788lbs on your Springdale. This weight distribution system features a built in sway control to keep you safe when driving on the highway.
You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40030.
