Does installing a hitch on a 2021 Toyota Highlander interfere with the handsfree liftgate feature?

In some cases you will experience limited function on the hands free liftgate of your 2021 Toyota Highlander when you install a hitch like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # e75ZR, but it's typically only in the area directly surrounding where the hitch receiver sits. In some cases, the function is totally lost and you'll only be able to operate the rear hatch with the vehicle's handle/latch, but it really just depends on where the factory sensors were installed in relation to where the hitch receiver sits.
