Weight Of The Reese Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch 30855
Question:
Does the head remove from the hitch easily? What is the weight of the head and the frame? What is the total hitch weight? I have a Demco Recon 21k but it sits too high for my setup. I like the Demco because it comes apart in 2 pieces each weighing under 50lbs.

The head of the Pro Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000lbs PS30855 weighs 85lbs and the legs weigh 24lbs and it has a hitch height of 13" - 17". We do have another lightweight alternative, the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter # AM3200. It weighs a total of 50lbs and has 3 adjustable heights, 18" Upper position, 16-7/8" Middle position, 15-3/4" Lower position.
