Why Am I Not Getting Any Power on My Converter on My 2005 Toyota Highlander?

i have power at the plug in in the rear of the car but no output at the converter for the four way plug

Since you have power at your 2005 Toyota Highlander's factory connector but no power output after the converter, it is likely that the converter is bad. I recommend testing the wires on the harness before the box if you haven't already. If you have power at that location and no power at the 4-way, you will need a new harness. If you need a testing kit, # PTW2993 will work great for you.

If you do discover power on the wiring harness before the converter box, you will need a new 4-way wiring harness like the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118248. I went ahead and attached a video of the 4-way installation to this answer.
