Is etrailer Brand AKEBRK-35-SA Brake Assembly a Replacement for Dexter K23-027-00
Question:
Would these work to replace dexter 023-027-00 brakes?

Expert Reply:
The Dexter K23-027 is a 10 x 2-1/4 inch brake assembly typically found on a 3500 lb axle.
The etrailer brand # AKEBRK-35-SA self-adjusting brake assemblies you referenced would be a perfect replacement. After an initial adjustment, the brakes will self adjust so you always have optimal braking action. The brake assemblies include mud and crud plugs to keep dirt and road gack out of the brake adjuster holes, but the installation hardware is sold separately as part # BRKH10B.
I'll link to a help article that explains how to break in your new brakes and make the initial adjustment.
