Troubleshooting Trailer Running Light Fuse Blowing on Truck
Question:
I keep blowing my truck running light fuse when my boat trailer is connected. I checked the vehicle side and all look normal, I get 12.8VDCc out of the brown all looks good. On the trailer side I have continuity from the brown on the RHS to the WHT but no continuity on the LHS brown to WHT. I suspect that I have a short between the brown and frame/white on the RHS but the LHS is fine. What are thoughts?

I think you have it basically nailed down and the issue is that you have a short to ground on the trailer running light circuit on the right hand side of the trailer and would need to go over the wiring to see if you can find any cut or exposed wire and fix as needed. Sealing the exposed wire with electrical tape like part # PTW502 would be all you'd need.
