How To Choose Correct Dexter Replacement 3,500 Lb Trailer Axle
Question:
I have a 2019 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer with a Dexter 3500 lb axle label reads 5WIL S/N 133146050. I want to purchase a straight axle and swap. Do you sell a 3500 lb straight Dexter idler axle assembly I could purchase? What Dexter part number do I need? I asked the company the trailer came from Forest River and the person told me I needed Dexter part number 5WILSTR, however I cannot find that anywhere. Thanks for the help

We do carry a few 3,500 lb leaf spring axles. The best way to find the correct one is measure your hub face and spring center length. We carry both 89" and 95" hub face options which are attached below. The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles part # T3584F-EZ-8974 for example measures 89" at the hub face and 74" at the spring center.
Unfortunately, Dexter is not always easy to get info from using their axle numbers.
