Yes, if your 2019 Mazda CX9 has a 1-1/4" or 2" hitch receiver, you should be able attach the Yakima RidgeBack 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting, part # Y02457, to your vehicle. This hitch bike rack has three cradles to secure your bike during transport. It has an anti-rattle mechanism to reduce movement between the hitch receiver and the hitch bike rack. This rack can also be locked to your vehicle. When the rack is not in use you can fold down its arms and reduce how far the rack extends on the rear of your vehicle. You can always access the rear of your vehicle, when the rack is empty, with the tilt down mast.
There are a couple of accessories you might need for this hitch bike rack. If you are carrying bikes that do not have a traditional top tube you will need a top tube adapter like the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar, part # Y02531. This attaches between the stem and seat post of your bike to create a faux top tube. The RidgeBack would clamp this tube during bike transport. If you want to secure your bikes to the rack you can add the Yakima HandCuff Cable Lock for RidgeBack and SwingDaddy Bike Racks, part # Y02466. Adding this will allow you to lock your bikes to the hitch bike rack.
