Can the sway pro bx1000 be used with a 2018 Ford F-150 to tow a 2018 Coachman Catalina? We are hearing that blue ox does not work well with the year and model of our truck

Weight distribution hitches like the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # BXW1000 are not typically incompatible with vehicles, so as long as you've got a 2 inch hitch on your 2018 Ford F-150 the Blue Ox SwayPro will work just fine.

Typically the issues with compatibility on a weight distribution hitch stem from the frame of the trailer being too tall or wide, or there not being sufficient space on the front of the trailer to install the brackets. You'll want to make sure there aren't any obstructions such as tool boxes or propane tanks mounted to the frame approximately 29 inches from the hitch ball and that your trailer frame is between 3"-6" tall in order to fit the brackets of the # BXW1000. As long as your trailer will allow for the brackets to be mounted in that area, and your trailer's tongue weight is no more than 1000-lbs, this weight distribution system will work well for you towing a 2018 Coachmen Catalina.

If your trailer doesn't have space on the frame for wraparound brackets at 29" from the hitch ball, or your trailer weighs more than 10,000-lbs GVWR/1,000-lbs tongue weight, just let me know and I can recommend an alternative solution.
