Recommended Hitch Platform Bike Rack For 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

My 2004 4-runner hitch receiver has side safety chain “hoops” on the sides....will I be able to install the hitch pin in the hole? The inside diameter of the “hoop is 1 1/8 inch. See uploaded photos. Thank you

The position of the safety chain loops are an issue. I spoke with a Thule rep and they said the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # TH903202, will not fit your vehicle.

If you want to carry e-bikes we do offer other racks that might meet your needs. I recommend the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # Y36FR. This rack comes with a ramp that makes the loading and unloading of your bikes easier. It can carry bikes that weigh up to 66 lbs.
