Can A High-Low Adapter Be Used With The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier When Flat Towing?

Question:

I have the roadmaster spare tire carrier and a roadmaster all terrain tow bar to flat tow our jeep trailhawk with our jayco melbourne class c motorhome. The jeep base plate connection is higher than motorhome receiver by more than the 3” recommended. Can i put a high low attachment on the spare tire carrier to increase the hitch height so that it’s within the +/- recommendation

Yes, you can use a high/low adapter such as Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 4" Rise/Drop - 10K GTW, 400 lbs TW # RM-048-4 in combination with the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125. Just keep in mind the spare tire carrier reduces your trailer hitch receiver's overall capacity by 33%. The high/low adapter will not reduce any capacity as long as you are only using it to flat tow.
