Mercedes 3500 Sprinter Chassis Permanent Spare Tire Mount and Flat Towing Capacity
Question:
Ive Renegade Villagio 3500 Sprinter chassis and need permanent tire mount for one Continental spare tire. This two tiered mount to also tow Demco Tow Dolly or a foldable cargo carrier/ bike carrier. I see from your site that my only option is to Flat Tow my vehicle that weighs under 3500 lbs... is this correct that the Tow Dolly weight of vehicle would be too heavy?

The Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier with 2" Receiver Opening item # RM-195225 has a maximum flat towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. This does not mean you can tow 10,000 lbs with your Renegade Villagio 3500 Sprinter chassis. A quick look on Mercedes' website shows that the 3500 series has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. You would need to check with a Mercedes dealer or look inside your door and see if there is a sticker to confirm what your maximum towing capacity is.
