Recommendation for a Husky Installation Kit for a Husky 5th Wheel on a 2005 Ford F-250
Question:
I bought a Husky 5th wheel sliding hitch for my 2005 Ford F250 FX4 short bed 6 1/2. The brackets that came with the hitch came off a 99 Chevy. Basically, what installation kit would I need to buy to install my the hitch? Would the rails I have fit with the installation kit you are recommending?

The installation kit you need to put your Husky 5th wheel hitch in your 2005 Ford F-250 is Husky # HT31412, which comes with all the brackets and hardware you need to install this hitch on the rails you currently have.
The difference between the Ford and Chevy installation kits is in the mounting brackets and hardware. The Husky kit # HT31412 contains all the needed brackets and hardware to complete the installation.
I have attached a FAQ article containing installation tips.
