Does ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness 119250KIT Need TO be Run To Vehicle Battery?
Question:
I have a 2004 Land Rover Range Rover HSE. Land Rover did a fantastic job at designing and engendering of their vehicles. As I ran the black cable from the back to the front under the car, I have been confronted with an armor of shells and coverings, it is difficult to attach the cable to the vehicle. I looked to see how I can reach the battery from the bottom of the vehicle and it looks impenetrable. I found a power source in the back of the vehicle this seems like a simpler connection, will this work? sincerely

I wish that would work but Powered Modules like the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT you are installing need to get power directly from the battery using the included fuse to protect the circuit.
Adding this connector onto an existing circuit could cause it to not receiver adequate power which can cause the connector to stop working, or damage to the module which would now not be covered under warranty due to improper install.
Since going underneath the vehicle is proving to be difficult you may have an easier time just going inside the vehicle underneath the carpet/behind trim panels to get to the battery.
I included a video of the # 119250KIT for you to take a look at.
