Will My Fat-Tire E-Bikes Fit onto the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket and 2 Bike Carrier?
Question:
I have two fat tire 4 inch tires ebikes that weigh about 58 pounds each without the battery. Will your XTray Pro accommodate those? Wheel base is 46 inches. Planning to use this over the bed of my pickup truck.

I confirmed with Yakima that your 4-inch tire fat e-bikes (58 pounds and a 46-inch wheelbase) will fit into the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket # RRRMCB03. However, it must be noted that the adapter that comes with the basket only fits bikes with 15 mm x 100 mm thru-axles. Rhino-Rack does have additional thru-axle adapters that are compatible with the basket. As for mounting the basket, you need to have truck-bed crossbars that are equal to or less than 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/4" tall. If you already own a ladder rack, I recommend measuring the width and height of the crossbars.
With that being said, if you do not own a ladder rack that can accommodate the mounting brackets on the XTray Pro, I recommend the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Ladder Rack with 66" CrossBars # Y01137-Y00410 (for both 6-1/2 foot and 8-foot 2018 Ram 2500s). The Outdoorsman 300 has round crossbars with a diameter of 1-1/8 inches, so it will be able to accommodate the XTray Pro. In addition, the Outdoorsman 300 comes with a 300 pound weight capacity and you will have the ability to mount more accessories on the crossbars if you ever with to add any more additional cargo.
If you need the right adapter for your bike's thru-axles, I would be happy to recommend to recommend the part if you provide the measurements of your bike's axles.
