Recommended E-Bike Bike Rack And Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2019 Subaru Outback
Question:
I need guidance on the best hitch and bike carrier to carry 2 Step Through style ebikes that can be mounted on a 2019 Subaru Outback One bike weighs 60 pounds and the other 50 pounds with batteries in place. Any recommended hitch and bike rack combinations would be much appreciated... hopefully at a reasonable cost.

For your 2019 Subaru Outback I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98847. It has a 4000lbs GTW and 600lbs TW which will allow you to easily haul your E-Bikes. It is a custom fit which will lessen the time it takes to install.
For the bike rack I recommend the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # RKY10004. This platform-style rack has ratcheting hooks and large wheel cradles to carry a variety of bike styles with no frame contact. The front-mounted lever lets you tilt the rack with the bikes loaded for rear cargo area access and fold it up for storage. It has a per bike weight capacity of 60lbs and comes with locks included. Since it mounts to the wheels you'll have no issues with your bike frames being a step through design.
