You definitely will not need to replace your axle to upgrade to a disc brake kit, like the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Raw Finish - 7,000 lbs # K2HR79. However, you will need to verify a few things before purchasing to make sure they will fit properly, specifically the inner and outer bearings.

This can be done 2 ways. The first, and the easiest, can be done by contacting Jayco and asking them which inner and outer bearings are used on your model. All you will need is the VIN and they should be able to tell you as they keep this on file.

In the off chance they cannot tell you, there is another way to verify which ones you have. This will require you to remove one of the hubs and either measuring the inner diameter of both bearings, or by checking to see if there are number on the actual bearing. These numbers do wear off over time though, so you may need to measure to confirm.

If you end up having the inner bearing # 25580 (1.750" inner diameter) and an outer bearing # 02475 (1.250" inner diameter), and an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern on your wheels, the Kodiak # K2HR79 will definitely be a good option.

Depending on what kind of brake set up you currently have, there may be a few other parts needed. I included an article we have that shows what all will be needed to complete a system like this for you to check out as well.
