Will Curt Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package Allow Use of Trailer Running Lights on 2010 Enclave
Question:
Im having an issue with the harness that is already on our vehicle. We bought it used. No clue if its a factory one or not. Currently having issues with running lights, thinking the harness they installed is wired differently/something isnt matching up. If i purchase this, plug it into the factory harness, and use the appropriate plug, my options like reverse lights will work? All of the fuses are installed and appear to be in good working order.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat # C55774 is confirmed to fit the 2010 Buick Enclave with factory tow package. Assuming you have the factory tow package, the connector on the Curt wiring harness will plug directly into your factory tow package wiring harness. After installation this will provide you with all of the 7-way functionality including reverse lights.
I think it is worth pointing out that running lights and reverse lights run on two different wires. So if you are having trouble with both that means there may be more than one problem. If you want to do some quick troubleshooting you could start by cleaning the connection on the trailer and your vehicle. Corrosion or dirt/debris could cause a bad connection. You could also test the connection on your vehicle using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993.
If you find that this does not fix your problem please reach out and I will help you troubleshoot further.
