Trailer Wiring and Hitch for 2010 Toyota Highlander without Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2010 Toyota Highlander base model ,2 wheel front drive, non trailer package, v6 engine.I believe the Curt hitch model 13534 is the correct model to install and keep my 17inch spare in place. What I need to know is what wiring harness is the correct harness? Is it the # C56217? Thanks

Yes the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56217 that you referenced is the correct trailer wiring harness for your 2010 Toyota Highlander. Also the Curt hitch part # 13534 is the correct fit as well.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
