Can Rear Sensors Be Turned Off While Towing with a 2016 BMW X3
Question:
I am looking at your recommendations for the above. My vehicle has a rear camera and an audio warning system for objects that are in the vehicles path. Can the camera and sensors be disabled when the vehicle is used for towing???

In regards to towing with a 2016 BMW X3; you'll need a trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76226, a trailer wiring harness like the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236, and a ball mount/hitch ball like the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989899. In regards to the rear sensors, these should only be an issue while in reverse. I would check the in-dash settings to see if they can be disable while towing. If not, you can reach out to the dealer to see if they have any advice.
