Why Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring for 2013 Toyota Highlander Have Lower Rated Fuse
Question:
A 10amp fuse was furnished with the kit but the manual for our 2013 Highlander calls for a 30amp fuse. Why the big difference?

This is a good question but for 4-way wiring like the # 118449 all you need as far as circuit protection is concerned is 10 amps. Any more than that would draw way more amperage than the wiring would support and would basically render the circuit protection pointless.
