Is It OK To Bend No-Drill Mounting Bracket 18136 To Clear Rear Bumper?

Question:

Even if I mount #118136 on the bottom of my trailer hitch, it still wont clear my bumper. Can it be vertically mounted such as it seemed to be in the picture? It looks like I would need to bend the mounting end 90 degree to make it work. Ever seen this done this way, or is there another mounting bracket that would work better?

Absolutely!

It is not uncommon to have to bend the Long No-Drill Mounting Bracket # 18136 to make it where you can mounting a 7-way connector. There is no issue with mounting the bracket vertically and bending it a bit to allow your 7-way connector mounting bracket to fit.
