Do You Need to Re-Install an Underbody Panel When Installing Curt Hitch # C11391 on 2013 Honda Civic
Question:
So, why does the video for the 2013 Acura not reinstall the body panel in anyway? I have a 2013 Honda Civic and it too has an underbody panel similar in shape as the Acura. Why not just cut a slit in the panel and reinstall it? Seems silly to totally remove an entire panel!

There are a couple of reasons why the video of the 2013 Acura did not show the re-installation of the base body panel. First, the customer may not have wanted it re-installed and secondly, the installers may have trimmed it up and re-installed, however chose not to include that section in the video.
In the installation directions for Curt hitch # C11391, listed under the installation directions, step # 6 states to re-attach trimmed underbody panel using existing fasteners.
