Lift Blocks For a Torsion Axle On a 2004 Horton Hauler Tandem Axle Cargo Trailer
Question:
Hi, I have a 2004 Horton hauler cargo trailer. It’s a tandem axle 8x16 enclosed trailer. I’m not sure which kit I need to match my 8” on center side mount axle bolt pattern. The axles themselves are 5x4.5 bolt pattern and I’m not sure of the axle rating.

You will likely have Dexter #10 Torflex axles on your 2004 Horton Hauler cargo trailer. You can check the rear portion of the axle tube on the passenger side for a serial number that is stamped into the tube. With the serial number I can contact Dexter to ensure exactly what you have.
If it is a Dexter #10 you can use the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-02 to lift both your axles 2-5/8". It matches the same 8" on center bolt hole measurement that you measured on your trailer.
If you can not find a serial number on the axle tube you may also have 3,500lb Lippert square torsion axles. It uses a mounting pattern that is very close to 8" at 7-7/8" for bolt hole centers. The Axle Riser Kit # LC382741 will provide you with 3-1/2" of lift if you have the Lippert torsion axle.
