Will Adding Timbren Suspension Enhancement Reduce Sway and Help Ride on a 2008 Ford F-150 4x4 FX4
Question:
With about 115K miles, my F150 doesnt have the ride/sway control it used to in the front end even with replacing the front shocks with name brand Bilstein shocks. Im thinking the front coil springs may be giving, along with bushings of course. My question is, is this TFF150F and active or passive add-on? Meaning, is this passive and will I only benefit from this product when there is enough force to push the front-end down and engage the rubber bushing that is the add-on? Or, is this active and Ill feel the benefit from the moment of installation with added benefit as weight shifts to each unit on the front? Thanks for your support!

Technically, you would call Timbren front suspension # TFF150F a passive system. It is designed for support when there is a load on it. However, the springs contact the the vehicle so there will be some support when not under load. So the short answer is that it would help just maybe not to the degree you are looking for.
Another issue is that suspension enhancement systems are designed to be used on a vehicle with suspension that is in good working order. If the front coil springs and bushings need to be replaced then you will need to do that first before adding any suspension enhancement.
