Do I need an Adapter to Install the Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller On My 2004 Chevy 3/4 Ton HD

I just ordered a Reese 5th wheel hitch and prodigy brake controller. I have a 2004 Chevy 3/4 ton HD silverado pickup. Should I have ordered an adapter cable with the unit to fit the chevy??

Yes, you will need an adapter to plug into the connection point in the black electrical junction box under the dash of your 2004 Chevy pickup. You would order the brake controller, and the vehicle specific cord that you needed.
To order the adapter prewired with both connectors for the truck and the prodigy you can order item # 3015-P, and to get the adapter for the truck to splice to the prodigy harness you can order item # 3015-S. When you get the adapter you choose just follow the included instructions (see link) to complete your brake controller wiring.
