Difference Between Draw-Tite Hitch on 2014 Subaru Outback and Draw-Tite Hitch on 2015-2019 Outback
Question:
Hello, Is there any difference and what is the difference between the 2014 Subaru Outback hitch and the 2015-2019 Hitch? I know the Subaru Outback was a tweak/refresh but was there an actual change to the mounting and bumper cutout/dimensions? Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # 76227 Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76227 is confirmed to fit all Subaru Outback Wagon models from 2013-2019. There is no difference in the installation or the hitch. The same Draw-Tite hitch that fits the 2014 Outback will fit the 2015-2019 Outback as well.
This Class III hitch has a gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs and tongue weight of 600 lbs. It has a concealed cross tube so you will only be able to see the receiver tube on the back.
If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467. This custom fit wiring harness has a quick and easy installation. The T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring so no cutting, splicing or tapping is required. This will provide a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.
