Why am I Still Getting Power on My Wire on My 2008 Lexus RX350 with the Vehicle Off?
Question:
Good day, read the advice about R tail light issue, very helpful. My issue is on the L. Have removed interior cargo space covers to access trailer wiring located on rear L side. Circuit tester at what seems to stock wiring indicates yellow is energized with vehicle off. Could there be a relay switch issue? Not certain how far I should dismantle to check for a short. Also, when trailer 1993 chevy box lights get plugged in, 30amp trailer fuse blows. I have plugged in tow lights resulting L light illuminated but no blown fuse. Any suggestions helpful...

Either the yellow wire is directly connected to the battery or the wire is shorting out to a wire that is connected to the battery. The yellow wire might be getting power from another wire in the vehicle which might be the reason why the fuse blows. I recommend following the yellow wire and trace it as far back as you can on the trailer and see if you can find any damage.
