Recommended Bike Rack That Can Carry 5 Bikes on a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

I am looking to carry five bikes on my 2020 Chrysler minivan. I’m wondering if the draw tite class III will extend far enough to use a bike rack with that capacity and if so, which rack to you recommend? It would be four kids’ bikes and one women’s and just around town for now.

Once the Curt # C13383 is installed on your 2020 Chrysler Pacifica, it will sit 13 inches off the ground and the center of the pin hole will sit 5 inches behind the bumper. With that being said, you will need a rack that will extend out past 5 inches from said pin hole.

The Thule Apex XT 5 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9026XT will extend out 7 1/4 inches from the pin hole and will be the rack I suggest. This has the capacity for 5 bikes and a total carrying capacity of 150 pounds, so will definitely cover your bikes. However, kids bikes can have odd frames which require the use of an adapter bar, like the Swagman # 64005. This can adjust from 24 3/8 inches up to 33 3/4 inches, making it ideal for most frames.
