Expert Reply:
Both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419 for your 2021 GMC Terrain will be tucked up under your bumper the exact same amount, and give the same roughly 10" of ground clearance.
With that said I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 76419 due to it being a bit easier to install since it does not require you to enlarge any holes on your vehicle like the # C77FR. This hitch has a 675lb tongue weight rating, and 4500lb trailer weight rating making it a fantastic option for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or using a ball mount to tow a trailer.
If you will be towing a trailer with your Terrain you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # TK67KR, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
