Parts Needed to Add 7 Way Connector to 2019 Nissan Rogue

Question:

I have a 2019 Nissan Rogue SL AWD and the 4 flat wire comes out from were the spare tire is inside for towing a trailer and the lift gate closes on it with no affect to towing but I wanted to know what product u have with everything needed to go from that to a 7 pin round bc the boat Im buying has a 7 pin round plug in and I need to upgrade or switch to that for my vehicle so that I can pull the boat as well as would like to have a 4 flat on the same box so that I can also pull my utility trailer to without having to buy a adapter too. Hopefully u can help me get the right stuff so that I can take it to my mechanic and have him install it. Just trying to save him some work and whatnot.

We do have the parts you're looking for and you will use your existing 4 flat to add a 7 way connector to your 2019 Nissan Rogue; I'm not aware of any grommets on the vehicle that would allow you to drop the harness to the outside of the vehicle other than out of the rear cargo hatch but you can work around this.

For the 7-way connector I recommend using the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires # ETBC7L. You can leave the 4 way plugged in and hanging out of the rear of the vehicle or you can plug it in only when you need to, which is likely the best solution. It will need to be connected to the 7 way in order for it to function properly though.

The # ETBC7L is designed to be used with wireless brake controllers and I do recommend going the wireless route since using a wired brake controller would require hard-wiring into the vehicle and running a brake output circuit back the 7 way; if you wanted a wired controller then you'd want to use the # ETBC7.

With all of that said, the wireless controller I recommend using is the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180, which is controlled by any Bluetooth enabled smartphone running Android 4.4 or newer/ iOS 8.0 or newer. The Echo plugs into your vehicle 7 way, and then the trailer 7 way plugs into that, so it's super easy to use and provides you with responsive, proportional braking for your Tracker boat trailer.

I've linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to check out as well.
