Determining Correct Replacement Hub For Karavan Single Jet Ski Trailer W/ Single Axle and 13 Wheels

Question:

Aloha, I am looking at replacing my hubs for a Karavan single jet ski trailer, it has 13inch wheels on 5inch x 4.5inch bolt pattern. It has the 2inch square galvanized axle. Any help would be appreciated and I can try to get any other measurements that you need to help figure it out. Mahalo.

I would be happy to help!

To determine the correct replacement idler hubs for your Karavan single jet ski trailer with a single axle you will need to determine the bearing combination your spindle uses.

The easiest way to do this is by removing one of your current hubs and looking for the bearing numbers stamped in the face of both the inner and outer bearings as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.

If your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the bearing numbers you will need to use digital calipers # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindles in the locations shown in the included diagram.

For example the CE Smith Trailer Idler Hub Assembly w/ Case for 2.7K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized - Pre-Greased # CE13315 uses inner and outer bearings # L44649 so if that matches what your current hub uses this would be a great replacement option that has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern you need, and the galvanized finish is designed specifically for trailers going in water like yours.

If you can email me your bearing numbers or spindle measurements I would be happy to confirm the correct replacement hub for you.

I included a video of the # CE13315 for you to take a look at.
