Platform Mounted Hitch Rack To Carry An Electric Bike While Flat Towing A Fiat 500
Question:
I have a Winnebago Via MH and flat tow a Fiat 500 with a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar. I would like to use a platform type bike rack with a twin hitch adapter for both a bike rack and towed vehicle. I have a Radrunner Plus E-Bike to mount to the rack. It could be either a 1 or 2 bike model. What are your recommendations for a bike rack as well as a twin level hitch attachment? My tow bar is attached to a 4inch lower adapter. Thanks for your help.

I can help you with that. You can keep your tow system all Roadmaster with my recommender adapter. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 2-1/4" Rise/Drop, part # RM-077-2, has a maximum gross towing weight of 10,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 400 lbs. This rack can be easily paired with a platform hitch bike rack.
You will be limited in your platform hitch bike rack selection. Not all platform hitch bike racks are rated for use on a motorhome. The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gray, part # SH22G, is a rack that is not rated for use on a motorhome. I do have a recommendation for you. The Hollywood Racks Sport SE, part # HLY84FR, is rated to be used on a motorhome.
This rack can be locked to your Winnebago Via MH and the bikes you carry can be locked to the rack by way of the ratcheting hooks. It can handle bikes up to 80 pounds. It also has an anti-rattle hitch pin that eliminates movement between the hitch receiver and the bike rack
I have included product description links and a video review links below.
